Scenario modelling
What happens if land cover, climate or management changes? Will the area develop sustainably, or will it ignore the problems and challenges of today? How will it look under different scenarios? Where is its potential? And what happens if it is managed badly?
The result is a modelled view of the map of the future, under scenarios defined from the available data and together with the stakeholders involved.

Spatial data processing and production
Do you need to find data? Or do you have your own that needs processing? From raw imagery, field measurements and mismatched layers to a finished dataset. Work with open data from local to global scale. Object detection, or a historical reconstruction of the landscape.

I currently work as an external consultant to the European Commission at the Joint Research Centre, in the Copernicus EMS Floods team in Ispra.
I worked at the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava, and for the Banská Bystrica Region I prepared the flood and wildfire risk assessment. With CzechGlobe I assessed ecosystem services in Czechia and developed a methodology for modelling changes in landscape structure. I studied in Nitra and did an internship in Wageningen. I am a co-author of several papers in impact-factor journals.
I try to connect research with practice and to explain the results in plain language.
And I like riding my bike downhill... over rocks and whatever else gets in the way 👀
